(Adventure 1st day: Arrived at Nice and went to Monaco)

I took Cathay airline from Taiwan and flew to Hong Kong, after stopping by Hong Kong for about 2 hours, the journey continued for another 12 hours and I finally arrived at CDG airport at Paris. Ever since Taiwan’s Eva airline stopped direct fights from Taiwan to France last year, Cathay is probably the only better choice without spending too much time transferring or idling endlessly at the plane. The whole fight was pretty smooth–it flew over a small part of China and passed Russia, a little part of Denmark, across Germany, and arrived to France.  I could even see the landscapes or lights if it’s night time underneath.  It was just before 7 in the morning when I arrived, but I had to take another plane going to Nice.

I arrived to Nice airport and took bus on my way to my hotel. I stayed in a small hotel in a nice quiet residential area.

After checking in to the hotel, my next stop was Monaco.
It took about 40 minutes to go to Monaco from Nice train station. Since there’s also mountain side on northern Nice, when the train approaches Monaco, some beautiful houses built against mountain and facing the ocean can be seen:

There was a car racing going on, so some roads were blocked.
Monaco is so small that it’s more like a town built on the mountain side against the ocean.

The green-round-roofed building is the biggest casino in Monaco, there was part of the racing track in front of it, and the audience deck was built in front of it too.

I want one of this:

Came back to Nice at night:
